Abstract: National Transportation Analysis Regions (NTAR)
divide the U.S. into 89 areas that delineate the
functional geography transportation demand.
Purpose: NTARs are aggregates of the Bureau of Economic
Analysis (BEA) Economic Areas and were defined by the
DOT for use in the 1993 Commodity Flow Survey (CFS).
